Hlynur Vagn Atlason
was born in Reykjavik, Iceland 1974. His career as a
designer started at the age of nine, being the winner of
a competition for an ad campaign for the Icelandic
Health Cabinet, which ran for half a year, and was
posted on all the buses in Reykjavik.
He has lived and worked in Copenhagen,
Paris and New York, where he is currently based. Hlynur
has worked with companies such as IKEA and Totem Design
NY, as well as designing furniture in Guyana, from
sustainable resources found in the Amazonian
rainforest.
Hlynur’s designs have been exhibited in
Europe and the US where his work has also been featured
in several publications, including The New York Times,
Metropolis, Interni, Graphis, ID Magazine and Dagens
Nyheter.

Window Shade
– The spring-roller shade is made of a custom print on a
durable synthetic fabric. The image on the shade suggests
a silhouette of a person. Dimensions:
34” Wide X 5’5” Tall.

Tuno Clock –
Designed for Ikea PS, this big clock can
be forked in the ground outside withstanding the rain, or
put on a base, for in-door use. Height adjustable, plastic
and steel. Dimensions: 14 1/8” Diameter X 31 1/8” - 47 5/8”

Piss Table
– Fabricated of laminated plywood and stainless steel, the
table has a clamping device that allows the user to employ
anything – from bathroom plungers to 2x4’s – for legs.
Table height and design are thus determined by the user.

Super Light
– Made of Aluminum, this super light is super lightweight.
It plugs directly into electrical outlets, eliminating the
cord, and takes advantage of pre-planned interior
architecture. Dimensions: 58” High. |

Shelf
– This aluminum and high-pressure laminate shelf breaks up
the traditional horizontal shelf, permitting the user to
display objects of various heights, sizes and
configurations. Disassembles into five parts.

Stool – This stool is woven from straps of
industrial spring steel generally used as an affordable

seating - One module (ottoman) is
attached to another identical module, making up a chair and
by adding a third one, creating a chaise lounge.
